2M Black Verso

The 2M Black is the flagship of the series, and it lives up to this with flying colors. You can hear every little detail in the music from every part of the spectrum. Just the way the artist wanted you to. This is for those who want to sense the presence of the artist in the room when they listen to their records. The 2M Black Verso model is an alternative product for bottom mount headshells.

Feeling the presence of the artist

Accuracy level

With the 2M Black, you will not only hear the music, but you will sense the presence of the artist in the room while listening to your favorite records.

Shibata diamond

The 2M Black is graced with a Shibata diamond that gives it contact with the groove like nothing else. The slim, highly polished profile allows an exceedingly wide contact area to the groove walls and ensures notably detailed reproduction throughout the spectrum, including even the most high frequency groove information.

Enhance your music
journey with the 2M Series

If you're noticing a decline in the quality of your music playback or own an older phono cartridge, it might be the perfect time to explore the world of upgraded sound. Upgrading your stylus can transform your listening experience, breathing new life into your vinyl collection. By simply replacing your worn-out stylus with a fresh one, you'll be astounded by the immediate improvement in sound quality. What's more, this upgrade can prolong the lifespan of your precious vinyl records, preventing undue wear and tear caused by an aging stylus.

Split pole pin technology

The 2M Black uses a special engine featuring Ortofon’s very own invention: split pole pins upgraded with a silver-plated copper wire.

Universal fit

The 2M Series is designed for easy cartridge mounting, weight, and size to fit the most common turntables today.

The 2M Series are available in four different product variant configurations: the 2M for most common turntables on the market; the 2M Premounted, for customers who wish direct and easy mounting and replacement on their S-shaped tonearm; the 2M Verso, for bottom mount headshells; and the 2MR, which is designed cartridge housing tailored for turntables and tonearms like Rega, matching their requirement for low-form factor cartridges.
