Concorde MkII Elite

/A limitless
experience

Bringing together the worlds of music lovers.

Accuracy level

The Concorde ELITE brings together the precision and performance of a DJ cartridge with the refined sound quality associated with Hi-Fi listening.

Developed to reveal more of the music in every groove, it delivers exceptional clarity, detail, and a rich, full-bodied sound. A listening experience that goes beyond what you would normally expect from a DJ cartridge.

Nude Elliptical diamond

Stylus

At the heart of the Concorde ELITE is a Nude Elliptical diamond stylus, mounted on a rigid cantilever and surrounded by an elegant gold finish.

Normally found in Hi-Fi cartridges, the Nude Elliptical diamond features a smaller moving mass, allowing it to follow the record groove with greater accuracy and retrieve even the finest musical details.

Its slim profile ensures precise tracking of groove modulations, including high-frequency information, delivering a powerful, detailed, and lifelike sound experience.

Please note: The Nude Elliptical stylus is designed for listening and is not intended for heavy back-cueing or scratching.

High output, great performance

Output

The Concorde ELITE features a specially developed Coil System designed to translate the stylus movements into an optimized electrical output.

The result is a powerful, full-bodied sound with high output, combining the performance expected from a DJ cartridge with the refined musical detail that defines the Concorde ELITE.

Iconic design. Refined details.

Cartridge body

The Concorde ELITE brings a refined,
premium expression to the iconic Concorde design.

Its specially molded stylus body features genuine gold plating, adding an exclusive visual detail that reflects the cartridge's premium positioning.

A distinctive combination of the familiar Concorde silhouette and carefully considered design details.

Superior tracking

Rubber suspension

To achieve the desired tracking performance, a new rubber suspension was developed specifically for the Concorde ELITE.

Its unique rubber compound is carefully formulated to provide the characteristics needed for accurate groove tracking and exceptional sound reproduction.

The result is a richer, fuller, and more lifelike musical presentation, with controlled damping that helps reduce excessive brightness.

Exclusively developed

Cantilever

The cantilever plays a crucial role in transferring the stylus movements with precision and stability.

Exclusively developed for the Concorde ELITE, the rigid 750 µm Aluminum-Magnesium cantilever combines low weight with high strength to ensure accurate tracking of the record groove.

Its carefully selected properties provide a stable and precise connection between the stylus and armature, contributing to the cartridge's exceptional detail and refined sound performance.

Delivering the drama

“...the Elite held its own, record after record, its warm tone, big sound, popping dynamics, and charged soundstage delivering the drama and personality of every LP I played with it.
...the Ortofon Concorde Elite MM cartridge is truly worthy of your listening time and attention.“

Mind-blowing performance

“The Elite MK II straddles the world of HiFi and DJing… delivering rich, full, detailed sound you don’t get from a traditional DJ cartridge.

The nude elliptical diamond stylus on a rigid aluminum cantilever brings the mind-blowing performance of this cartridge, delivering HiFi depth found in cartridges like the 2M Bronze and Black Ortofon models.

If you find yourself just as much a listener as a practitioner, these are the best-in-class cartridges you deserve.“
