The stylus was replaced because the old one was broken, so no comparison can be made. I inherited the turntable with this non-functional cartridge. Otherwise, the service was great, delivery was fast, the packaging was very good. The sound of this cartridge is rich, just as I like it.

I upgraded my Ortofon Concorde with 20 stylus to a Concorde Music Black. I thought that the difference would be barely noticeable - but I was wrong. The difference was like stepping into another world. Suddenly I could hear top and bottoms on my albums that I have never heard. I was and still am amazed after a year of using.

The DS-3 is the best scale on the market. Absolute accuracy at the 2 decimals. Excellent workmanship and looks.

Though the site or specs don't mention it. The LH 4000 has adjustable azimuth. That's what that set screw ln top of the collar for. In addition to the 2 pin collar. It makes it the perfect "set and forget" azimuth adjustable cart if you swap cartridges. The top position of the screw makes adjustment a snap.

Today I got the Ortfon Blue 2M, what can I say?
A very excellent Sound, very balanced in treble and bass. Never heard the reference vinyl so clear.

After a good 50hrs running in time the 2m black really does sound special. Listening to vinyl albums I've played so many times before and didn't realise how much detail I was missing (om20) used previously and I thought that was good.
